In Part 17, I covered the part of learning how to do “Out of Body Experiences” or OBEs as they are known by. And my experiments actually worked. So now it was time to go to Naples and see Rita. I waited for my parents to retire for the evening. My brothers were out with friends – it was Saturday night after all. My parents thought it very weird that I was home on a Saturday night. I said I had some reading to do and felt tired. They bought it and went to bed around 11pm. My older brother who had been on the original REAL LIVE Naples adventure with me said he’d check in on me around 3 am since he knew what I was up to. I had to wait till at least 2:30 in the morning since there was a 6 hour time difference. I didn’t want to show up at 5am Naples time and everyone be asleep. Rita was Catholic (duh) and went to mass at 9 am on Sundays. I wanted to be on her doorstep at 8:30.

So there I was lying on my bed at 2:30 am on a Saturday night/Sunday morning getting ready to go to Naples Italy. I used my mind to visually put myself right on Rita’s street exactly where I had been a little over a year ago. I remembered every detail even the stinky garbage smell of Italian streets. While still awake, I pictured myself standing in front of her apartment building. I then willed myself there and as I felt my mind being pushed to the limits, I can only tell you that I must have slipped into some kind of trance because the next thing I knew, I was standing in front of Rita’s apartment building. It was morning and cold. I was in the middle of the street so I trotted over to the sidewalk to the front of the steps leading up to the main door. I thought about pinching myself but caught sight out of the corner of my eye of an elderly Italian gentleman walking towards me. I asked him if he knew the time. He looked at me like I was nuts and said a few words that I recognized from my days at the language school – words I cannot repeat here. The remarkable thing was that I had an interaction with someone. By that encounter, I realized that I must have appeared out of place – a young teenager, standing in the middle of the sidewalk on a Sunday morning dressed in jeans and a tee-shirt with no coat … and no shoes. It never occurred to me to ‘equip’ myself before having an OBE. That would look great – like, say I was going to be in Naples till morning or something and my Mom walks in my room and there I am lying on my bed with a heavy down coat on and boots. (“No, nothing’s wrong, Mom … I was just a little cold…”) Anyway, I learned about ‘equipping’ myself on later OBEs. Back to the story … I was freezing and could barely feel my hands and feet so I quickly bounded up the stairs and raised my hand to knock on the door when I felt something tugging on my other arm. I looked back but there was nothing there. But something was pulling hard on my arm. In an instant, I was looking at my brother, who was very drunk and pulling on my arm and saying, “Are you all right? You look dead. What happened?” Well, this is a good stopping point since I was so mad that I … well … we will cover that next week.

NEXT WEEK – I gotta get back!

This week’s blog has been brought to you by the Animal House: founded in 1978 … yes … Charlottesville had a REAL Animal House. It was sooooooooo much like the movie in the sense it was a wild frat-like atmosphere with recent graduates and students totally involved.  Led by the great Harry, there was never a dull moment. Below is a picture that was taken inside the Animal House in 1979. That really is a Budweiser label painted on the back wall. I have no idea who those guys are in the picture. Not that I could possibly be related to any of them or grew up with any of them or even be in the picture. Good times again.

BTW, if you want to follow me on Twitter, I am @TerlokyanFritz. I always follow back. And don’t forget to visit the book series website if you haven’t already – www.saviorproject.com

CYA next week.

Whatcha think?(about the blog … duh)
